History

Founded in 1973 by visionary leaders Ramiro “Ram” De La Cruz, Aurelio Castillo Sr., Robert Fuentes, and Guadalupe “Lupe” Gonzalez, the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was created to strengthen representation and opportunity for Hispanic-owned businesses in Fort Worth. Their leadership helped establish one of the earliest Mexican-American chambers in Texas, laying the foundation for decades of advocacy, connection, and lasting community impact.

Impact

For over five decades, the FWHCC has continued supporting businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals through networking, education, advocacy, and economic development initiatives. From scholarships and workforce development to business growth opportunities and community partnerships, the chamber remains committed to creating long-term impact and meaningful opportunities for future generations.
