Celebrate 50 Years with FWHCC

The Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. Our organization was chartered on August 3, 1973, with only 30 members under the leadership of Dick Salinas, who served as its first president; Pete Zepeda, president-elect; Ron Fernandez, vice president; and Manuel Jara, treasurer. FWHCC is so proud to have a five-decade legacy in Fort Worth and looks forward to celebrating the impact of our chamber all year long!

To celebrate our 50th Anniversary FWHCC is excited to commit to 3 focus areas:

  1. Creating a Special Edition 50th Anniversary Magazine Publication. Coordination has already begun on a special publication that will be released later this summer that highlights the history of our Chamber, current FWHCC projects, 50 Fort Worth Latino Leaders, and 50 Emerging Fort Worth Latino Leaders. This will be a keepsake publication celebrating this anniversary milestone.
  2. Telling the FWHCC Story through Video. FWHCC now has a state-of-the-art in-house multi-media studio and is excited to utilize it for video interviews with significant figures in the chamber’s history. This will allow for an opportunity to capture and archive important testimonials for our community.
  3. Celebrating our 50th Anniversary with a “Gilded Gala.” FWHCC is looking forward to celebrating the 50th Anniversary of our Annual Gala by transforming the 2023 Hecho En Fort Worth Gala and Awards Celebration into a golden celebration. The traditionally colorful décor of Hecho en Fort Worth will be changed to black and gold as we honor our business leaders on September 16, 2023, at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
