
The Gloria J. González Memorial Scholarship
For the Advancement of Latinos in the Health Care Professions
Created in memory of Gloria J. González, a former University of Texas at Austin student who was about to graduate and pursue medical school to become a pediatrician when she was tragically killed in a car accident in 1988.

Eligibility and Criteria
- Open to Latinos currently enrolled for at least one academic year in an accredited educational program in pursuit of a degree and career in the health care profession.
- Students may be in undergraduate or graduate/professional level programs.
Examples: nurses, physicians, physicians assistants, physical therapists, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, health care administrators, public health, social work, health service research, dentist, etc.
